Neighborhood Sports

Large-scale sports complexes like a stadium are usually for watching games, while sports facilities around residential areas are a space for the neighborhood. These sports facilities are used by residents when they exercise and utilized as a public space with various functions like cultural events or gatherings.

The Dual Sports Hall, Borex-Crassier, is a column-free space with a long 32m length, which means it was built without vertical structures in the middle. Likewise, the Theater and Congress Hall in Dole has a spacious internal space without columns with a steel structure in the roof. The multi-functional sports hall of Majori primary school in Jurmala has a unique exterior with the structure exposed outside. The hall of diverse sizes and heights has become a new monument in the area.

Such a large space is suitable for a variety of public events as it can accommodate a number of people. Thus, sports facilities in local communities are frequently used as multiple-purpose halls. The Theater and Congress Hall in Dole is composed of variable spaces that can be utilized according to purpose. The number of seats and arrangement can be changed according to needs and internal space can be opened through the sliding glassed crack in front. The Sports Hall in Bale holds various functions as it is used for diverse social gatherings in the local community and other facilities such as the gallery, sauna and locker room can be utilized by nearby schools.

The Gymnasium Hausburgviertel is a new sports facility in the area, which was converted from a cattle shed. In other words, a new public space was created with some parts of the wall of the previous building remained, which shows the history of the area. The Theater and Congress Hall in Dole was designed to be in balance with the neighboring natural environment by building a glass facade that displays magnificent landscape and four seasons with ivy. ..............................................................................

IaN+

IaN+ was established in 1997 by architects Carmelo Baglivo, Luca Galofaro and an engineer Stefania Manna. The founders got to know each other in "La Sapienza University" in Roma and have worked on projects through research and discussion so far.

As Italy has a lot of architectural limitations to protect cultural heritages that have remained around the city, theoretical or conceptual aspects are emphasized in work of IaN+, rather than the practical side. Flower-motif the School Complex in Roma was to seek the direction of school construction in the future. Centering on the courtyard, classrooms and other rooms were laid out along the circling traffic line as if it looked a flower's petalsa and stamen / pistil. And an outdoor education space and classrooms were connected. The New Paris Courthouse appears to express the mighty of law with strong black Monolice. Meanwhile, the ChungNa City Tower conveys the image of a high-tech city by expressing the identity of InCheon city that has a potential to become the gate to Korea and a new hub in north - east Asia, and by employing structural technology with its towering height.

The works of IaN+ is aimed to explore shapes based on concept and originate from the history of sites and traditional architecture. Because of that fact, they are closely related to cities, their histories, cultures and time. The Villa Palladio was built by reinterpreting the Villa Rotunda of a renowned Renaissance architect, Palladio. That was part of the project to redevelop an island in Taiwan into a residential area, which makes nature become an independent subject - not a background, communicating with the architecture. The ESO Headquarters was designed to be in contact with nature each other by arranging offices to enclose the courtyard like fences in open nature. Likewise, IaN+ believes that architecture serves as a bridge that connects between land and people, and a building on a land becomes part of the site.

In addition, IaN+ recognizes architecture as micro infrastructure from the urban perspective. This means that a building is more than a building, which is constructed with the focus on the invisible relationship between various factors in the scope and space where architecture influences.
